1952 65' Custom Alden Cutter

Description
Sailing Yacht NIRVANA was built starting in 1940 in New Castle New South Wales Australia by one of the brothers of Heaton Brothers Construction Co. Ltd. for cruising and racing. Designed similarly to Alden's Malabar Ketch. she raced in the Sydney to Hobart race in 1957. NIRVANA was delivered to Newport Beach CA in 1958 and purchased by George and Marjorie Carver. In 1983 she set a corrected time record in the Newport to Ensenada Race. Later purchased by son Hugo Carver and John Knight of Knight and Carver. The boat sailed and raced in Southern California until being sold again and moved to Mexico where she was operated as a local charter boat.
